If you’re planning a family vacation to see the 2017 total solar eclipse next summer, you might consider visiting Oregon, home of The Big Eclipse author, Nancy Coffelt! Oregon was named by USA Today as one of the top places to view the eclipse.

Many Oregon towns are hosting eclipse activities, including Madras and Salem. Travel Oregon’s web site is a good place to learn about our state and all the sights here, from the coast to the mountains to Eastern Oregon, where you’ll find tumbleweeds and honest-to-gosh real cowboys.

Nancy and friends will watch the eclipse from Baker City, a historic town in a beautiful setting with one of the best small town public libraries in the country!
